Scientific Integrity Fund aims to support scientific whistleblowers and student journalists who raise reasonable doubts about the integrity of scientific research. We collaborate with University Impact, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, to conduct due diligence and administer grants. We extend grants to fund the legal aid of scientific whistleblowers, and to student journalists who create community awareness about scientific fraud. Our aim is to help deter scientific misconduct, and deter scientists from suing their critics.  

Research integrity is the cornerstone of scientific research. Fraudulent or invalid results can mislead other researchers. This wastes time, resources, and causes delays in potential breakthroughs. Breaches in scientific integrity not only compromise the validity and credibility of science, but also erode public trust in science. 

Scientists who raise valid concerns about potential fraud or misconduct sometimes face legal repercussions. The Scientific Integrity Fund aims to support those who expose scientific fraud or errors, and empower people to report misconduct without fear of legal or financial consequences. We hope to foster a tangible cultural shift towards honesty and accountability in science.
